The Zambezi Watercourse Commission (ZAMCOM) Secretariat held three meetings during the month of November 2017. These are an extra-ordinary ZAMCOM Technical Committee (ZAMTEC) meeting, a meeting between ZAMTEC and International Cooperating Partners (ICPs), and a meeting for the Zambezi ICPs (ZICPs).
While the ZAMTEC and ZICPs meetings are annual events, the meeting between ZAMTEC and ICPs was a first as ZAMCOM strives to encourage interaction between donor organisations and the ZAMCOM’s governing bodies. It is expected that these meetings will now become an annual event.
ZAMCOM’s cooperating partners include the Danish Government through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs International Development Cooperation (DANIDA), the German Federal Government through GIZ, and the World Bank.
